When our pals Amy and Evvy at
Nota Bene in Pittsburgh, PA came to us with this concept, we almost couldn't believe it. Their client wanted to create an invitation suite for a surprise 70th birthday party that was worthy of a man whose friends call him "King Ted."
The details are stunning: a custom-cut, three-ply card, printed front and back and studded with 71 Swarovski crystal rhinestones. The invitation and its accompanying response card were presented in a box that was lined with patterned silk paper and topped with an additional custom-cut metallic paper embellishment and tag. The whole suite was wrapped in a shiny belly band for mailing.
To be sure that the entire evening stayed on theme, we also designed custom menus in four regal colors, custom die-cut place cards and a set of matching stationery for King Ted to express his gratitude to the many friends and family who celebrated with him.
We love this phenomenal suite not only because it is completely custom, but because it is a perfect example of what an invitation should be: an exquisite announcement that sets the stage for the upcoming event. You can bet that anyone who was summoned to the court of King Ted in such magnificent fashion was beyond eager to add this event to their busy social calendar!

Luscious Verde was able to create a gorgeous stained-glass effect with paper by using our custom laser-cutting capabilities in conjunction with multicolor printing on vellum. This very creative Bat Mitzvah inviation set blew away all of the invitees that received it.

Although this may seem like a simple cream and antique gold wedding invitation with halftone roses, it almost brought a tear to our eyes when we saw it in our shop. Custom-designed for one very lucky couple by Fairmount Letters in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, it magically melds two distinct design concepts from our wedding catalog into one brilliant invitation.
A 20-something once screamed in anger across a bar to my sister-in-law, "You're forty!" It was meant to sting, but to someone who's death-defyingly near forty herself, it's not as bad as it looks. Especially if you're celebrating it with a fabulous soiree. And inviting those friends and family who mean the most to you with a custom 40th birthday party invitation from Luscious Verde is the best revenge. So, a couple walks into a bar (actually a Luscious Verde retailer) and asks, "Could you make a Bat Mitzvah invitation for our daughter that matches these charming salt-and-pepper shakers from great-grandmother Roberta?" At other companies, they would laugh at you. "Do you know how much time that would take?" At Luscious Verde, it's par for the course.
This popular invitation from our Bar/Bat Mitzvah Volume II album has been customized in so many exciting ways that we lost count a long time ago. We're guessing it's due to the recent wild popularity of polka dots and also the always popular ribbon, but maybe it has to do with the ingenious way in which we combined the two (if we do say so ourselves). Try your hand at customizing this design, we never tire of seeing the results!
